Decision status: Recommendations Approved

Is Key decision?: No

Decisions:

Sandpit Farm

Parishioners expressed their concerns over the ongoing issues with Sandpit Farm.

The Chairman read out an email to the meeting from the Council’s Enforcement Officer which stated that ‘ Following the refusal of the planning application which had been submitted by the occupiers, the Council has had several meetings with the owner of the land and have requested a reduction of the amount of vehicles stored there. The owner of the land has indicated that he wishes to submit a further application in the very near future and the Council is awaiting that application.

It is noted that further development of the site has occurred with the erection of two buildings and this is being pursued as a separate matter.

Councillor E White explained the planning process to the meeting and answered Parishioners questions.

The Chairman requested that he be kept informed of the situation at Sandpit Farm.

Grit Box on Pingle Lane

The Chairman reported that he had contacted Leicestershire County Council regarding the provision of a grit box, and was advised that they are no longer provided free of charge.

The Chairman pointed out that the Parish Meeting did not receive any financial assistance and therefore would not be in a position to purchase a grit box.

Councillor E White confirmed that he would look into the matter.

Please see the attached response to Councillor White from Leicestershire County Council.
