Decision:

RECOMMENDATION TO COUNCIL

 

(1) That the Basic Allowance of £3,622.20 remain the same, subject to the annual increase in line with the National Joint Council Staff Pay,

 

(2) that the Vice-Chairman of Development Control Committee be paid a Special Responsibility Allowance of £1,000, to be reviewed in twelve month’s time.

 

(3) that the Chairman and Vice-Chairman of Development Control Committee be requested to keep basic time records.

 

(4) that the current £1,500 Special Responsibility Allowance for the Chairman of Licensing Committee be amended to £750.

 

(5) that the Chairman of the Regulatory Committee be paid a Special Responsibility Allowance of £750.

 

(6) that the Members of the Licensing Sub-Committee be paid £25 per meeting.

 

(7) that Junior Cabinet Members be authorised to claim Travel and Subsistence expenses for their attendance at any meeting/briefing etc deemed appropriate to the discharge of their collective or individual responsibility,

 

(8) that if a Member provides transport to another Member to enable that Member to attend a meeting then they be authorised to claim travel expenses, and

 

(9) that it be noted that the Cabinet Executive Member allowance was in line with other authorities which fall within the same audit family grouping as Blaby District Council.

 

(10)  that subject to  approval by Council, the above payments be backdated to the Annual Council Meeting held on 10 May 2005.
