The minutes of the meeting held on 31 May 2023, as circulated, were approved as a correct record.

Matters arising from the Minutes

Minutes:

There were no matters to discuss.

3.

Location of Village Name plate

Minutes:

The Aston Flamville name sign is now in its correct location at the beginning of Aston Lane, at the boundary with Aston Flamville Road, Burbage. Residents wished to pass on thanks to County Councillor Maggie Wright for organising this with LCC Highways.

4.

Fosse Village Neighbourhood Plan

Minutes:

The examining report has been published and a number of proposed Local Green Spaces in the Fosse Villages have either been supported or rejected. The Chairman advised that non directly affect Aston Flamville.

5.

Fosse Village - Shaping our Furture

Minutes:

The Chairman advised residents that It was agreed to commission a traffic survey utilising Drone surveillance.  

                                                                                          

Cllr. Mike Shirley provided an explanation of how drone surveys are carried out.

6.

HNRFI

Minutes:

Cllr. Mike Shirley provided an update on the rail freight to residents.

 

Residents expressed their concerns surrounding the Hinckley National Rail Freight Interchange.

 

7.

Local Planning Applications

Minutes:

The Chairman provided an update to residents on local planning applications.

 

Residents expressed their concerns in regards to the change of use of land on planning application 20/0621/FUL.

 

8.

Any Other Business

Minutes:

The Chairman announced that a local small business has launched a telephone directory for those individuals that struggle to use the internet. The Chairman handed out leaflets to residents which provided them with the telephone number to call to get through to the “Help Me Plz” Telephone Directory service.

 

9.

Date of next meeting

Minutes:

The date of the next meeting to be arranged in consultation with the Chairman for a date in early 2024.
