Election of Chairman

Minutes:

The current Chairman Mr M Birchall advised the meeting that he would no longer be standing as Chairman of the Leicester Forest West Parish Meeting.

 

Residents and the Clerk thanked Mr Birchall for his service as Chairman to the Parish meeting.

 

The Clerk invited nominations for the election of Chairman for the Leicester Forest West Parish Meeting.

The minutes of the meeting held on 22 April 2013 ,as circulated, were approved  as a correct record.

Matters arising from the Minutes

Minutes:

A47 Car Boot

 

A Parishioner raised concerns in respect of safety issues when traffic was entering and leaving the site of the car boot.

 

Cllr M Wright confirmed that she would monitor the situation through the Parish Council.

 

 

Rose Paddock, Hinckley Road, Leicester Forest West

 

Parishioners reported that overcrowding of the site was taking place, therefore the regulations were not being complied with.

 

The Clerk confirmed that she would contact the Council’s Enforcement Officer in respect of the situation.

 

Since the meeting the Council’s Enforcement Officer has said that he was not aware of any open investigation concerning Rose Paddock and overcrowding. It was looked at initially when it first changed hands but at that time there was no breach in respect of the number of caravans and planning permission was granted soon after the change of ownership:

 

Planning Permission - 13/0627/1/PY – Use of land as residential gypsy site for a maximum of 1 mobile home and 8 touring caravans.
