Election of Chairman

Minutes:

The Democratic Services Officer invited nominations for the election of Chairman of the Leicester Forest West Parish Meeting.

Coventry Airport

 

The Chairman reported that there was nothing further to update the meeting in respect Coventry Airport.

 

Fosse Villages Neighbourhood Plan

 

The Chairman distributed a leaflet – Fosse Villages Neighbourhood Plan Submitted for Final Stages of Approval.

 

The plan would enable the wishes of the Fosse Villages and their residents will carry increasing weight in consideration of development applications. This will help to protect the individuality of each village and to protect them from further speculative and unwarranted development.

Hinckley National Rail Freight Interchange Proposal

 

The proposal for the Hinckley National Rail Freight Interchange was discussed by the residents and Cllr. Maggie Wright and it was noted that the proposal would be submitted to the Secretary of State.

 

Logistics Warehouse – next to Caterpillar, Desford

 

The Chairman advised that this proposal would be considered by Hinckley and Bosworth Borough Council.

 

Fly Tipping

 

A resident informed the meeting that there had been a spate of fly tipping in the vicinity of Pendlewood Farm, the resident was advised to report the incidents to the Council’s Environmental Health Department.

 

 

Data Protection Information

 

The Chairman spoke about the new Data Protection Law and the changes that would come into force in May.

 

 

 

The Chairman also  thanked Sue Tilley for arranging the Christmas party.

 

The Chairman then paid tribute to Ken Sarsby a resident who had  sadly passed away.
