Matters arising from the Minutes Minutes: Fosse Villages Neighbourhood Plan
Cllr. Maggie Wright advised that this has now been adopted by Blaby District Council. Cllr. Maggie Wright also advised that the documentation are constantly updated to keep in line with current policy’s.
National Rail Freight Interchange Proposal
Cllr. Maggie Wright advised that letters of notification have been sent out to residents.
The residents engaged in conversation about the proposed National Rail Freight Interchange. The residents have concerns surrounding how this will have an impact locally.
Fly Tipping
Residents advised that some fly tipping has taken place outside a local farmers field but once reported is moved straight away.
The Chairman mentioned that cameras could be something to think about discussing in the future. |

Any Other Business Minutes: The Chairman thanked everyone for their hard work throughout the pandemic and advised that she is intending for the Christmas party to reconvene in time for Christmas 2022.
One of the residents asked if the proposed new roundabout on Desford road has been approved.
Cllr. Nick Chapman advised that this has been approved and explained that this would be beneficial as it would slow traffic down in this area.
Cllr. Maggie Wright added that there is going to be housing built on each side of the road so the new roundabout would be welcomed to the area.
One of the residents asked about speeding in the area and advised that the A47 has now been reduced to 50 mph speed limit but advised that Dans Lane still remains at 60 mph.
Cllr. Maggie Wright advised that speed vans do park up in this area however mentioned that the Local Community Support Officer is trained with the speed gun and that a request can be submitted to him to oversee a certain area of concern. |
