Possible Red Light Pollution – Desford Crossroads

Residents are concerned about the red-light pollution that is emitted throughout the night from the new building situated on the Desford Crossroads petrol station and Greggs outlet. The residents explained that the lights are situated at the back of the building causing lighting over the land throughout the night.

Cllr. Maggie Wright advised residents that this is a 24/7 service so some lights may be expected to remain on through the night, however Cllr. Wright will check with Blaby District Council officers to see if any conditions are in place for the building.

The Chairman raised concerns in regards to the planning application for 10 holiday lodges and advised that she would address the committee once this application reaches Planning Committee.
