1.	Election of Chairman View the background to item 1. View the decision for item 1. Minutes: The Democratic & Scrutiny Services Officer invited nominations for the election of Chairman of the Leicester Forest West Parish Meeting.
2.	Minutes PDF 189 KB To approve the minutes of the meeting held on 6 July 2023 (enclosed). Minutes: The minutes of the meeting held on 6 July 2023, as circulated, were approved as a correct record.
3.	Matters arising from the Minutes Minutes: There were no matters to discuss.
4.	Any Other Business Minutes: HNRFI Cllr. Maggie Wright informed residents that the Examiner was due to complete the report by 12 June 2024 and that their recommendations will be considered by the Secretary of State. The Secretary of State will make the final decision on whether to approve or reject the scheme and will take the report into account but does not have to agree with the Examining Authority’s recommendation. The report won’t be published until the final decision is made. When this happens both the report and a letter explaining the Secretary of State’s decision will be published together. A decision is expected by 12 September 2024. Battery Farm Cllr. Maggie Wright informed residents that construction wouldn’t commence until 2027. She advised residents that a substation may potentially be built towards Earl Shilton. Cllr. Maggie Wright informed residents that a substantial Community Fund may be established as a result of the Battery Farm construction going ahead for local parishes. Fosse Village Neighbourhood Plan Cllr. Maggie Wright advised residents that the Fosse Village Neighbourhood Plan has now been updated.
5.	Date of next meeting Minutes: The next meeting will be scheduled with consultation from the Chairman.
