Election of Chairman

Minutes:

The Clerk invited nominations for the election of Chairman for the Potters Marston Parish Meeting.

The minutes of the meeting held on 19 May 2011, as circulated, were approved as a correct record.

Matters arising from the Minutes

Minutes:

Grit Box on Pingle Lane

 

The Chairman confirmed that there was no funding available for the provision of a grit box, however he said he would put in a request to Leicestershire County Council Highways to see if it was possible for the road to be gritted in the winter.

Sandpit Farm

 

The Clerk circulated an update and a copy of an Enforcement Notice in respect of Sandpit Farm.

 

An Enforcement Notice was issued on 4 April 2012 with regard to the yard area. The notice took effect on 4 May 2012 and the time for compliance was 3 months after the notice takes effect.

Any Other Business

Minutes:

Concerns were raised again over road safety issues in respect of speeding vehicles along Huncote Road/Stanton Lane.

 

A discussion took place in respect of providing a log of the accidents that had occurred on Huncote Road/Stanton Lane.

 

The Blaby Highways Forum was also discussed, the Highways Forum involves District and County Councillors, and the public were encouraged to attend the meetings.

 

The Forum provided updates on strategic highway matters in local context, considered petitions relating to local highway issues and provide information on all planned highway works.

 

 Information in respect of the Blaby Highways Forum is available on the Leicestershire County Council Website.
