The Clerk invited nominations for the election of Chairman for the Potters Marston Parish meeting.

To approve the minutes of the meeting held on 7 May 2014  (enclosed).

The minutes of the  meeting held on 7 May 2014, as circulated, were approved as a correct record.

Sandpit Farm

The current situation in respect of Sandpit Farm was discussed by residents and councillors.

Cllrs updated the meeting in respect of the work in progress on Sandpit Farm.

Speeding Traffic and Accidents – Huncote Road Potters Marston

At the last meeting concerns had been raised about speeding traffic and accidents, at that meeting  the Clerk was asked to contact the County Council to enquire whether a speed limit could be introduced along the stretch of road, since the meeting the Clerk had received an email response from the Accident Investigation & Prevention Team at Leicestershire County Council which was circulated at the meeting.

The outcome from the County Council was that there was significantly less money available to the County Council to implement minor road schemes.

A resident reported that a site visit from the Highways Department had been undertaken to discuss the situation in respect of speeding traffic and the accidents that had occurred.

There was no business to discuss.

The date of the next meeting to be arranged in consultation with the Chairman for a date in May 2016.
