Matters arising from the Minutes Minutes: Speeding Traffic
Concerns were raised again in respect of speeding traffic along Stanton Lane and it was reported that a motor cyclist had been killed on a very bad bend on this stretch of the road.
Cllr Maggie Wright suggested that the incident be reported to the Local Beat Officer Mike Walker. |

Any Other Business Minutes: Fosse Villages
Cllr Maggie Wright informed the meeting that the Fosse Villages submission was with Blaby District Council where the plan would be approved at a full Council Meeting.
Fly Tipping
The meeting discussed the amount of litter that had been strewn along the grass verges, the residents reported that they had been litter picking themselves.
Cllr Maggie Wright said that if the residents wanted to continue litter picking that they should contact the Council’s Depot where they would provide high visibility vests and bags, the depot would then collect the bags of litter.
Rural Crime
This matter was discussed as there had been a spate of burglaries in the area.
Hinckley Rail Freight
Cllr Maggie Wright advised the meeting on the consultation process and advised the residents to write to the local MP Alberto De Costa with their concerns. She also said that Fosse Villages were having meetings in respect of the Rail Freight proposals, and that they were forming a strong Opposition Group and producing information leaflets in respect of this matter.
