Election of Chairman

Minutes:

The Democratic & Scrutiny Services Officer invited nominations for the election of Chairman for the Potters Marston Parish Meeting.

Matters arising from the Minutes

Minutes:

Hinckley National Rail Freight

 

Cllr. Maggie Wright gave an update on the Hinckley National Rail Freight explaining a planning application was expected to be submitted on 3rd January 2023 by Tritax Symmetry. She reminded residents that this is national infrastructure project and will be determined by the Secretary of  State and not by Blaby District Council. Blaby District Council will be consultees throughout the process.

 

Sandpit Farm

 

Cllr. Maggie Wright provided an update to residents explaining that enforcement action has been taken by both Blaby District Council and Leicestershire County Council regarding parking on the grass verges and on open country side land that is not a permitted area.

Any Other Business

Minutes:

A discussion was held between residents in regards to their concerns on local policing.

 

Cllr. Maggie Wright advised the residents to contact the Police and Crime commissioner with any concerns.

 

One of the residents raised an issue with a local natural spring which Is causing surface water on a highway. The residents explained the danger this is causing given the winter months causing an icy road. Cllr Maggie wright reassured the resident that this would be reported to Leicestershire County Council Highways department.
