Matters arising from the Minutes Minutes: Village Green
The Chairman advised that the village green is now closed.
DPD Distribution Centre
The Chairman advised that he had been liaising with the Chairman of Aston Flamville regarding the DPD Distribution Centre and that they were looking into what protection the Fosse Villages Neighbourhood Plan could provide.
Whetstone garden village
Residents were advised that there were no further updates on the proposed garden village.
Hinckley Rail freight terminal
The Chairman advised that he had attended a meeting on the 7 October to discuss the Hinckley Rail freight terminal with other parties involved and with local MP’s Dr Luke Evans and Alberto Costa. Residents were advised that in order for the MP’s to be able to lobby against the development, the parties involved would need to make a strong case and involve experts to provide evidence against the development.
Highways Fund
Cllr. Maggie Wright advised that she had submitted the application for a sign for Wigston Parva and requested for someone to send her the location of where they would like the sign placing. |

Any Other Business Minutes: District Councillor Update
Cllr. Mike Shirley advised that he is currently requesting weight limit signs for Sharnford and Aston Flamville, however, the requests had previously been denied by the highways authority.
Clearing of drains
Residents requested information about having the remaining draining systems cleared due to the influx of leaves and other items blocking them.
Cllr. Maggie Wright advised that someone should send her information of the location of the drains so that she could raise the issue with Leicestershire County Council.
Boundary Commission Review Update
Cllr. Maggie Wright advised that the deadline for submissions for the Boundary Commission Review was the 1 November and that her group would collectively be submitting comments regarding warding arrangements.
