Blaby District Business Grant Scheme

Purpose of the report
To seek Cabinet Executive approval to establish a one year pilot Blaby Business Grant Scheme for micro and small enterprises in the district, providing accessible small scale funding to support business growth and resilience, including productivity, digital improvements, premises improvements, decarbonisation and shop front enhancements.

Expected decision
Cabinet Executive is asked to approve the establishment of the Blaby Business Grant Scheme for a one year pilot with a total fund of £25,000 and to delegate authority, subject to demonstrated value and impact reported after year 1, to the Portfolio Holder for Health, Community and Economic Development and the Executive Director Place to determine continuation of the scheme into year 2 and beyond.
